# Understand token risks

A compelling story can explain why a community cares about a token. It cannot establish the token's future price or your ability to recover what you spend.

## Financial and liquidity risk

Token prices can change rapidly. Liquidity may be limited, selling can move the price and fees reduce the amount received. You can lose the full amount spent on a token.

A migrated token can still have thin liquidity or substantial holder concentration. A completed curve, a large community or a high trading volume is not a guarantee of a stable market.

## Identity and authority risk

Names, tickers, avatars and websites can be copied. Check the exact mint, pool, official source and transaction destination.

A community token associated with a business is not automatically endorsed by that business. Business verification establishes a reviewed relationship; it is not a certification of the token's value, safety or expected return.

## Technical and transaction risk

Wallet approvals, token authorities, contracts and pool configurations affect what can happen to assets. Network congestion or failed transactions can also interrupt an action.

Read the wallet preview before signing. A blockchain transaction that has finalized generally cannot be undone through a profile edit, customer support message or dispute submission.

## Information can change

A business can relocate, close or change representatives. An article can become outdated. A review result can require correction. Check source dates and current project status before relying on a story.

## Fees do not imply an investment return

The planned business allocation concerns eligible trading fees actually received. It does not give token holders business revenue or a guaranteed return, and an estimated allocation does not prove an actual payment.

Before any future purchase or launch, consider the full transaction cost and the amount you can afford to lose.
