# Your first visit

You can explore Market before completing a Citizen Pass. Start with a real story, then choose the path that matches your goal.

## Three useful steps

1. **Explore a place.** Open the neighborhood or [Market Radar](https://market-launchpad-com.gitbook.io/docs/explore/radar). Read the original source, its date and the exact business location. A listing does not establish the business's participation.
2. **Become a Citizen.** Complete the [Citizen Pass](https://market-launchpad-com.gitbook.io/docs/citizens/citizen-pass) entry, then open your profile. A completed entry and an approved Genesis reservation are different states. Keep your recovery key private.
3. **Prepare something useful.** Read [Before you launch](https://market-launchpad-com.gitbook.io/docs/create/before-you-launch) and prepare a sourced project draft, or learn how to [verify your business relationship](https://market-launchpad-com.gitbook.io/docs/business/verifying-your-business). Saving a draft does not create a token or earn XP.

## Before connecting a wallet

Phantom is the currently supported wallet connection. Connecting identifies the wallet and can show supported balances; it does not approve an individual transaction. Never provide a seed phrase or private key to another person.

For account access, Google sign-in is also available; it does not create a wallet or verify business authority. Open the account menu to link a provider or use **Sign out** to end the current Market session.
