# Prepare and save a draft

A draft lets you turn a place and its story into a project before a token exists. It gives you time to improve the source, identity and presentation.

## Begin with the source

Open a place from the neighborhood or Radar and follow the available project preparation action. Check that the original article, the place and the branch agree.

A description is optional. If you add one, explain what makes the story memorable. Include verifiable facts and distinguish your interpretation from the source. A strong draft can be short: the reader should understand the place, its character and why a community might care.

## Save in the right place

The token-first form collects name, ticker and image, then the exact business and public source. It is also used when you resume a Citizen draft. A description is optional. The image file stays on the device; a saved image reference does not guarantee that the actual file exists on another device.

An account draft and a draft stored only in the current browser are different records. Sign in to save through your Citizen workspace. If the interface offers an import of a browser draft, review it and confirm the import explicitly.

Browser storage may disappear when you clear site data, change browsers or use a private browsing session. A local draft is not proof that the project is saved to your account.

If another draft is already open, use the offered archive or preservation step before replacing it. Check the saved project's business and title when you return.

If another session has changed an account draft, the conflict blocks an overwrite. Preserve a device copy before loading the newer saved version. Account sign-out hides private draft contents; it does not create a public project.

## Review before submission

| Check | What a reader should be able to establish |
| ----------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Business identity | Which actual place and branch the project concerns |
| Source | Where the factual story came from |
| Description | What is factual, what is community interpretation and who speaks for the project |
| Token identity | A name and ticker that do not impersonate another token |
| Image | Appropriate attribution and usage rights |
| Business role | Whether you are an independent creator or an authorized representative |

Keep incomplete fields honest. A polished illustration does not repair an unsupported story.

## Drafts and achievements

A draft gives no XP. Submission alone gives no XP either. An accepted new discovery, a finalized eligible launch or a later verified contribution has its own conditions in the [XP guide](https://market-launchpad-com.gitbook.io/docs/citizens/levels-and-xp).

While public launches are closed, a completed draft remains preparation. A disabled launch button cannot be bypassed by changing a source or reconnecting a wallet.
