# Bonding curves and migration

The planned Market launch journey uses a Meteora Dynamic Bonding Curve, followed by a DAMM v2 liquidity pool. Public launches through Market are currently closed.

## The curve stage

A bonding curve defines how the quoted token price changes as trades move its reserves. The price is determined by that token's configured curve and current state; it is not a valuation of the associated business. Meteora supports configurable curve segments. [Meteora curve documentation](https://docs.meteora.ag/core-products/dbc/universal-curve).

Before trading a live asset, check its specific curve, fees, mint and progress. These docs do not assign a universal supply, starting price or funding threshold to every token.

## Completion and migration

When the configured quote reserve threshold is reached, ordinary curve trading stops and migration proceeds through its required steps. Liquidity is moved into the destination pool once migration completes. [Meteora migration documentation](https://docs.meteora.ag/core-products/dbc/migration-and-liquidity).

| State | What it means |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| On the curve | The token remains in its configured curve trading stage |
| Curve complete | The completion threshold has been reached |
| Migration pending | The destination pool is not yet confirmed as ready |
| Migrated | The successful migration and destination pool can be verified |

If a page displays 100% progress, check the actual migration status and receipt. A progress percentage cannot substitute for a finalized destination pool.

## After migration

Trading depends on the destination pool's liquidity and configuration. Pool fees, position ownership and collection rights matter when calculating which fees can actually be received and allocated.

Migration does not establish a permanently locked supply, permanently locked liquidity, a minimum price or a guarantee that everyone can sell. Look at the particular pool and its disclosed positions before making those assumptions.

## The Citizen bond achievement

For **First Bond**, the eligible token must be one you originally created, complete its curve and successfully finalize migration. Buying someone else's token does not give you its creator achievement. The same mint counts once.

Read [the achievement catalog](https://market-launchpad-com.gitbook.io/docs/citizens/achievement-catalog) for First Bond, Bridge Builder and Ten Bridges. See [business fee distribution](https://market-launchpad-com.gitbook.io/docs/fees/business-fee-distribution) for the planned allocation after collection.
