# Privacy and sharing

Your private Citizen workspace contains more information than your public profile. Sharing uses the public version of your record.

## Choose your public visibility

Open Citizen settings to control:

* **Show my public Citizen profile**.
* **Show my achievements and XP publicly**.
* **Allow earned participation badges on my public profile**.
* Optional in-app alerts and weekly highlights.

**Current defaults:** completed Citizens have public profile and public achievement visibility enabled; participation visibility is disabled. Review these choices before adding a personal portrait or biography.

When the public profile is visible, it can display your Market name, portrait, biography, level, Genesis finish and verified business roles. The achievements setting controls public XP and achievement display; turning it off does not necessarily hide your level. Turn off the public profile itself if you want your public corner to remain private.

## What stays outside the public card

Wallet addresses shown in your account, SOL and $MARKET balance values, draft contents, saved-place notes, private review submissions and review notes are excluded from the public Citizen card and achievement share image.

Blockchain transactions are public independently of the profile. A public launch or payout can reveal its participating addresses through its transaction record. Profile privacy cannot make an on-chain transaction private.

## Share an achievement

Open an earned, publicly visible achievement and choose **Share milestone**. The share card includes the milestone, its date and a link to the public proof page. Share it yourself using the available download or social action; no post is made automatically.

If the milestone is not public, enable the appropriate visibility choice before sharing. Participation badges have their own additional visibility choice. Purchase quantities, wallet identifiers and detailed holding proofs remain private; public participation proof pages omit the purchase transaction signature.

## A share image is a dated snapshot

A downloaded image cannot update after it has been posted. The proof page shows the current status, including a later evidence correction or an unavailable public record. Making your profile private does not erase copies already downloaded or published elsewhere.

Sharing, pinning and adjusting privacy do not earn XP.
