# Wallet and balances

Your Citizen profile includes a private Wallet drawer for the linked wallet's SOL and, when a reliable official-token source is available, $MARKET balance.

## Link Phantom

Open your account menu and choose **Connect Phantom**. Approve the account connection and read the sign-in message before signing. The message establishes control of the selected address for your Market account.

This sign-in flow does not send a trade or grant a spending allowance. A future launch or trade requires its own transaction review and approval.

You can create and complete a Citizen Pass without connecting a wallet. A linked creator wallet becomes important when verifying an eligible original launch or your own bond.

## Read a balance

Open Wallet, then use **Refresh balances** when needed. The drawer includes the date of the checked snapshot.

**Unavailable** means a current balance cannot be established from the available source. It does not mean zero, missing tokens or a failed transaction. A previously displayed value remains a dated snapshot after a refresh failure.

The $MARKET line cannot establish a token's authenticity by its ticker. Check the [official token identity](https://market-launchpad-com.gitbook.io/docs/market/token) and [official links](https://market-launchpad-com.gitbook.io/docs/reference/official-links) before relying on a mint.

## Balance, XP and fees are different

A wallet balance is an asset amount. XP records verified contributions. A business fee share is an attributed amount under a token's fee rules. An achievement is a dated milestone. Increasing one does not automatically increase the others.

Purchase size, turnover and wallet wealth do not multiply XP. The supported Back and Stay paths recognize distinct eligible purchases and verified holding periods under their published limits; a balance alone proves neither. ## If Phantom is unavailable

Use the available recovery method to access your existing Pass. For wallet connection, check Phantom's availability in your browser or its mobile browser, verify the account selected there and retry a cancelled sign-in only when ready.

Google sign-in is available from the account menu through **Continue with Google** or **Connect Google**. It opens or links the Market account; it does not create a Solana wallet, authorize spending or verify business ownership.

Use **Sign out** in the account menu to end the Market session. Signing out does not sell assets, revoke a finalized transaction or delete the account.
