# Why your business matters

Market is built around places and stories people recognize: a neighborhood shop, its mascot, the person behind the counter or a ritual that brings regulars together.

If that story becomes a token community, the planned business fee allocation recognizes the place that gave it its identity. Eligible business recipients receive 75% of the protocol-net fees actually collected under the applicable arrangement. This is a share of token trading fees, separate from the business's own sales.

## Discovery can happen before participation

A community member can discover a public story about your business. A listing or community project does not establish your consent, endorsement or involvement.

Market distinguishes the place's factual identity from the authority of anyone claiming to represent it. The profile's status should be read before assuming a token is official.

## What being verified establishes

Verification establishes the reviewed relationship and authority of a representative for the particular business. A manager with suitable authority is not automatically the legal owner; an ownership label needs the relevant evidence.

Verified representation can support appropriate project updates and, when the claim workflow opens, identification of the eligible business payment recipient. It does not guarantee trading activity or future fees.

## What a token does not give holders

A token associated with your story does not automatically give holders shares in your business, control over staff or premises, a right to your profits, or free products. Any separate offer would need its own clear terms and cannot be inferred from a token's name.

Verification and any payment come later; if your place is absent from the directory, enter its name and location manually. You do not need to hold $MARKET merely to qualify for the planned business fee route. A community creator and the verified business representative can be different people.
