# Welcome to the District

Every token has a hometown.

Market brings together local businesses, the people behind them and communities that care about their stories. A familiar shop, a beloved mascot, a neighborhood ritual or an unexpected comeback can become the beginning of a community. The planned token mechanism gives that community a disclosed fee route to the business at the center of its story.

## Three principles to keep with you

**A real story deserves clear attribution.** A business listing or news article identifies a place; participation and authority require their own verification.

**Every point has a reason.** Citizen XP records useful, verified results. A saved draft, a click or a social action does not complete an achievement.
